TESTIMONIALS

I can’t say enough about how great Access Express has been to work with. As an Elementary School Nurse I often run into the dilemma that a student needs to be sent home and families don’t have access to transportation. Sometimes the opposite occurs where a student feels better after a few hours in the morning and families are unable to drive them late. Our school is not on the bus line, and as economic times are hitting families hard, this problem is becoming more frequent.

After securing a small grant for funding I had to select a transportation company to assist with rides when these situations arise. Mike Eddy was so pleasant and helpful by phone, and really seemed to understand the flexible nature of what I was requesting. He has basically set up an on-call service where with 10 minutes notice he can send a car to a family’s home to pick up a parent, drive them to school to dismiss, and return them home for a VERY fair price. His driver is usually Meredith, who is a sweet friendly young woman who makes my families feel very safe and comfortable. She has been very compassionate with some kids who were really sick leaving here.

They have been so accommodating; each and every time we have called they have been able to provide service. Mike was also very flexible with payment, preserving a family’s dignity while they are struggling financially was very important to me, with monthly billing no uncomfortable money exchange takes place during the process. This service has been a huge benefit to our school and I would highly recommend them to any looking for a friendly, reliable, fairly priced service!

Thank you for helping with transportation for our Plymouth Area Lock-Up event held in May at T-Bones Road House. Over 50 Business Leaders from the Plymouth and Kingston area raised over $24,000 for local area families affected by muscle diseases.

All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Southeastern Massachusetts Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. MDA provides orthopedic appliances, free clinic visits, youth summer camp sessions, support groups and hope through neuromuscular research to over 400 families in this area affected by 43 different types of muscle diseases.

The donation of your time and vehicle makes the “arrest” or our “Jailbirds” all the more enjoyable for those that participate and really helps with the experience of the event. We appreciate your kindness and hope you will consider us again when we return to the area next year!

I am writing on behalf of Plimoth Plantation and Mayflower II to thank you especially for transporting the 1957 Crew during the Fiftieth Anniversary Celebration last week. As we soon discovered, our English guests were never on time. I really appreciated your patience, flexibility, and helpfulness at every turn. You and your staff always had a smile on your face and were extremely polite. Please thank Steve, John, Justin and Hugh. We commend all of you. In the future, I would highly recommend your company. Thanks so much for helping to make our celebration run smoothly.

Thanks to Habilitation Assistance Corporation crew, there are two new rails open to the public along the Quashnet River in Mashpee. These two rails (width: 2-4 feet) are slightly sloped and offer a quiet, intimate walk through the mixed Red Oak and White Pine forest. Each can be accessed off the existing Quashnet trail to the west of the river.

I wanted to relate an incident with one of your drivers that I think is worthy of some praise. Two weeks ago, one of your drivers, Dave Ryan, came to pick up one or our residents for an appointment. She was very upset; crying because she couldn’t find her hat and it was a very cold morning. We tried putting a blanket around her but she was adamant about her hat and refused to go. Mr. Ryan was very patient the whole time while the aides searched her room and was very understanding when ultimately she declined to transport. The next day when he arrived to try again, he brought a hat that he had purchased himself to give to the resident. It did the trick and she was willing to go to the appointment.

We wanted to recognize Mr. Ryan’s efforts and excellent customer service skills. They were very much appreciated by the residents and staff at Life Care Center of Plymouth.
